Aldabra Giant Tortoise
The Aldabra giant tortoise got its name from its originated island ‘Aldabra’ and this specie is being protected as it is an endangered species. These large, slow-moving giants have high domed shape carapace and its legs are stocky, heavily scaled to support its heavy shell. These giants live in the wild in herds and they are usually found grazing on grasses and stems. Aldabra tortoises typically live between 80-120 years.
